Hi all,

I have a work night out next week and I dont know what to wear!!!! Most people seem to be wearing skinny jeans and a going out top, but I'm cant do skinny jeans.... my hips are too big and I cant pull them off. I am looking for a nice top to go with some dark jeans I have and some nude colour heels. Any ideas? I think maybe I should go to a personal shopper but not sure what I am looking for or if I have time for that!

Well I'm not particularly fashionable but I wouldn't wear nude heels with jeans. If you're wearing dark jeans, and since you're not wearing skinny jeans I'll assume the jeans you have in mind will be slightly covering your heels, I'd advise dark heels.

As for tops, most tops can be dressed up. It depends on your age and style really, and how much you accessorize.

Although personally, I usually wear skinny jeans with a long top that will cover my hip area because I'm big hipped too. If I'm wearing bootleg/straight jeans with heels sometimes I just wear a tank top, but dress it up. (fyi I'm an underdresser...)

I don't see anything wrong with wearing nude heels with jeans! I do it all the time. If its a work night, I wouldn't go too casual - a nice dressy top I think is in order. But then again it depends on your work. Depends on a lot of things really.

If you are in an accessory dilemma - you can't go wrong with pearls and a nude bag to match your shoes.

This top would balance out wide hips cos of the ruffles on top (although if you've a big bust it mightn't work). If you added some statement jewellery also, it could look really glamorous.

Both looks are different- I'd go for the first one myself because even though you'd be wearing pretty much all black, I love eye make up and jewellery so I'd have fun with that as a way of brightening it up.

On the other hand, the bright pink is a great colour & would be particularly nice if you've dark hair.
