Did TBS/Conan do a NBC/Leno to Lopez?

Lopez Tonight is being taken off the air,

They are going to allow Conan to produce the later show instead.

So NBC and Leno got alot of criticism for bumping Conan but Conan did the same thing to Lopez moving him to after midnight when he came to TBS and inevitably Lopez's rating fell and now he's getting cancelled, Conan's rating aren't great, is he next?

Lopez tonight's rating were falling before Conan showed up on TBS, and once he did, there was a lot of promoting by TBS and Conan himself to make sure Lopez wasnt left out. He and Conan cross promoted at one point too, where they both appeared on each others shows in the one night.

The fact is, his rating fell and continued to fall, so he was canned.

Lopez himself was keen to get Conan in because he thought having a strong lead-in would bring in more viewers for his show.

I think the writing was on the wall long before TBS brought in Conan.
