Anyone elses Tring + card not working? I have 2 of them, last years one which worked fine and has 4 months sub left on it and a new one I purchased off TV corner last week. Both switched off just before 3 and i reset, rescanned and all that and still no joy on either one. Fckin pain in the hole!

Prob the same as last years thing where you had to put it on Tring sports for some over the air signal to let ya view the 3 pms...

Ye, i done that, left it on Sport 1 as its now called, i thought it would come on after a few minutes as a similar thing happened a couple of times last year. very annoying!

Did the one you got this year for tv corner work?

TV corner only sell the standard tring card not the tring +

It's a broadcaster issue, nothing to do with dealers, on other forums you will see that some posters claim that theirs are working, trust me there not, :D only 3 pm sat and 4pm sunday affected, will be interesting to see what will come out of this verdict on tuesday from the ECJ in the murphy case, I believe theres a lot of pressure on foreign broadcasters ATM from the EPL

    Cards did work yesterday mate..

I can vouch for 2 mates even..

Only thing is they renewed their cards from last year and didn't buy new cards..

Whether that's the reason or not but a lot of say shops will be stopping dealing with tring!

Thats def not the reason, would agree that a lot of dealers are stopping selling them but the only people affected are the people that buy them only for the 3pm game, other than that its still shows a lot of games

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21 eamo4648

The tring site has an * beside the 3pm matches which states that

*These games may be subject to restrictions due to the modality of the signal sent from the source.

any idea what this means ??

Yeah, it's Albanian for "the EPL and Sky have a knife at our throat......"

Its all very strange, one of the cards I have didn't work for any of the Saturday 3pm matches last weekend but worked for every other match including the 3 and 4pm matches on Sunday.
The other card worked for every match except the Sat 3pm and Sun 4pm matches.
I don't think the asterix* stands for much really, It seems its pot luck whether your card works or not, my card did start working for the 3pms on the 3rd weekend and the following week it stopped again!
And I'm not jumping for joy at the Karen Murphy news as I don't think it'll make much difference to this card and its only going to make it harder in years to come to get the likes of these cards on the cheap

The EPL will never allow tring here and the other thing its an albania card it does not come under this ruling.

Right, fed up with Tring, the 3pm situation is not gonna improve at this stage, I need a cheap card that will give me a choice of at least 2 3pm matches on a Saturday and I don't care about English commentary or HD, can anyone advise me of the best one to get? How about Diema? Did I read somewhere that they now share the 3pm rights with someone else?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,576 ✭✭✭excollier

Diema and Nova Sport Bulgaria show 3pm games. If you sub to Diema (Bulsat) you will get Nova along with it.
Picture quality is much better than Tring.
    I sent you a pm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 535 ✭✭✭tapfit2004

between Diema and nova sport they showed liverpool v manu at 12:45, man city v villa and wigan v bolton at 3 and chelsea v everton at 5.30 yesterday.

they are showing aresnel v sunderland and newcastle v spurs today.

looks like an ok card for the price, at least you will be able to watch the 2 3pm matches. its not looking good for tring.

You need to use a Bulsatcom STB though for that package? It uses some sort of modified encryption, which they call Bulcrypt.

I don't think CCcam works right with the card?

    It works on oscam.

If your talking about "satellite BG" which was known by ITV Partner and diemma, I believe the encryption is conax? You need a HD receiver, However im open to correction on this one

Yes they seem to broadcast from 16 east, 23.5 and 39 east. 23.5 east seems the strongest signal for me.

Diema & Nova on 39e are still encrypted in Irdeto
2, but will eventually go Bulcrypt, putting an end to patches and softcams

    It works on oscam.
Oh, I did not know this. I tried googling it a while back, but got fed up.

Does the card update, etc. also?

@Snaps: Satellite BG don't seem to be on 16E anymore. On 23.5E only. And then Bulsatcom on 39E

Does anyone know what the PQ is like on SatBG, compared to Bulsatcom? As, when Sat BG was on 16E as ITV Partner, it was noted for being a poorer PQ than Bulsatcom.

it does with oscam as server and has been updating. there's plenty of cccam to oscam converters available for download to make it easier also. I can't confirm it but i have a funny feeling tring will also work through oscam. it used to about 2 months ago so i doubt it has changed.

I still don't have any Sat 3pms or Sun 4pms. All other matches work fine, including any midweek or extra Sunday matches.
From reading other forums some cards get the 3pms and some dont, it just seems hit and miss as to what cards work and doesn't seem to matter where they're bought.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,678 ✭✭✭swoofer

i think it has to be a tring plus

Sounds like you have just got Tring Gold (which doesnt have the 3pm's on Sat and 4pm's on Sun), or aren't recieving the correct entitlements to view the 3pm's on a Tring+ card..

Hi yes, got the cards, SatelliteBG (bulgaria) are showing live 3pm Choice of two everyweek without fail. Picture quality is very good two from 23.5 east.

You will need a HD receiver with conax embedded or cam,

Commentary is not english but at this point who cares it's reliability thats important. They also show the rest of the pl games too. :D

Well IMO tring will see a big hit to subs next season via satellite, after the ****e everyone had to put up with from the start of the season with 3pm kick off's. Saying that it's still an alright card regardless of the 3pm games if coupled with a satellite bg card :D
Also i just heard on saturday that Viasat has lost 3pm games at least the latvian version of the card. That must be some kick in the backside for anyone in the uk that has taken out a sub specially for 24 months, A lot of lolly for no jolly

What's the story with card activations?
We've had a card that was supposed to be activated months ago but due to set up woes we couldn't get 16e signal. We are now getting a signal and will have to activate (once Tring channels actually show up after scans!). Does our sub start from the date of first attempted activation or first successful activation?

card should start from date of activation ie its gets rights when sent but it may have been activated prior to despatch and with tring anything is possiblem say if you get sorted and how, you may have to pay extra, there are 2 cards now, tring and tring + and it is not easy to spot difference.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,678 ✭✭✭swoofer

@ gerry, super, and a few hints might help, i am making a comeback but brain is dozy, i have a db500s with nabilosat darkstar working away in back ground with ccam but that was 2 years ago, no hassle with it after initial set up, pleasantly surprised.

It's a Tring+ card and activation was sent after we emailed them.
Current problem is no channel listings for TringTV on Edision Argus mini.
We get channels from other providers on 16e though and strong signal :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,678 ✭✭✭swoofer

You should rescan tring, it now appears as sport 1, 2, 3, 4 no mention of tring, try 11282v 24497 and i think sport 1 is fta now, the others will be blank

the provider should know from card that entitlements have not been received

I'm a bit late replying to this but it is a Tring plus card I have, if you take a read on the UK forums you'll see the majority with them are still experiencing problems, some work, some don't and they're bought from a variety of different sellers.

One seller that seems to keep coming up is tring-tv.co.uk and a lot say their cards work fine for the 3pms. I've tried contacting them over the past 3-4 weeks and get no replies to my emails so they're not to be trusted either it seems.

Only reason I'm persevering with trying to get a Tring card is the 4 3pms and English commentary so hopefully I will come across a seller who has the proper cards.

I don't see much point spending near €400 on a bulsatcom card when there are sky italia ones available on ebay for a similar price and you get so much more sport on that.

Yeah, they could be Multiroom cards that might get disabled anytime. It's risky business, this foreign sub lark!

They are usually the prepaid cards..

Only have 3 packs, 2 ordinary and one premium..

Do the job if you can get one on the cheap but be sure to know when it was active from!
