Out of date SATA Controller??

Can anyone explain to me what an out of date AMD SATA Controller means? After I switched on my laptop today i got a pop up saying the above. Everything else is in date. When I clicked onto it, it is saying I need to pay €30 to update it. Is this the case, or are there free downloads available?

Would this explain why videos have been very spluttery and jumpy lately?

Sounds like some scamware has been installed on your pc. Whatever you do, don't give the application any credit card details or bank account info. I also wouldn't use any sites that contain sensitive information (email account, online banking, paypal, etc). Probably best to ask for help over on the virus and malware removal forum.

Should have said, apart from the scamware your computer itself is more than likely fine. So once you get it removed everything should work as normal.
