connecting laptop to TV

What type of cable do I need to connect my laptop to my TV so I can watch videos and TV programs. What kind of money would they be to buy.

I just hooked up the PS3's HDMI and it worked a treat now i can watch sons of anarchy series 3 BRRRRRRRRRILLIANT.:D

I just tried it there again plugged in the HDMI put the TV on the right channel. The laptop will now only stay on the TV screen for say 10 seconds then TV screen will go blank then it comes back so on and so on. What do you think is the problem.:mad:

I use a HDMI cable. Its what you need. Go for a 3 metre one so you dont have to sit directly in front of your TV.

You've probably got the settings wrong on the Video section of your Tv. Mess around with them a bit.

Also setup your laptop on presentation settings so it doesn't turn off or hibernate when your watching a movie on the Tv
