    Hi folks,

Renting a car in Atlanta, Georgia next month.

They are insistent that I need a 'clean licence, no convictions'.

Now, my only issue is that I have two penalty points from last summer for using a mobile phone while driving.

Does that mean I don't have a clean licence in this regard? It's not a conviction but I don't want to risk any issues if something happened.

    Any advice?

    Cheers,
    Quad

A fixed penalty fine is different from having a conviction, and even if you did have a conviction in Ireland, they could not know.
Unlike in the US, convictions of EU citizens in Europe are not accessible from the internet...
