I went to a game last year in New York and had trouble with ticketmaster because I was trying to buy from Ireland. Eventually the hotel bought two tickets for us but charged a fee for doing so.

Got a set of bruins tickets about 2 years back, went through ticket master and picked up on the day...no problems...

Have you got family over there that could get you a ticket(s). I saw the rangers play the pens in msg last year.

Nope, could email the hotel and see if they do it.

Was hoping the penguins will play in NYC while I'm there but they are on a west coast road trip :-(

Looks like I'm gonna go to see the jets play the devils.

Decent tickets and not too expensive :D

I can tell you for absolute fact, DO NOT BUY TICKETS ON THE STREET!!!

The scalpers outside MSG are just scammers selling phony tickets. I was stupid enough to buy tickets for a Rangers game this way and got burnt. Total waste of money.

I have used these lads many times for the Rangers games when I am in town. I have had no problem and if you wait until 5mins before the start they will be face value or less. The first time I used them I got stung for an extra $10 as I didn't have the right cash but since then I have been fine.

If you dont them mess them around and be firm but polite with your requirements they are ok. Also look for for a tout who has just sold a ticket to local.

I guess its a gamble then. The tickets I bought sure looked real, but when we went inside they would not scan and the ticket taker knew right away they were fakes.

So buyer beware, do so at your own risk.

When I bought tickets outside MSG, I made sure the guy came up to the ticket stiles with us before I gave him the money. Caveat emptor etc...

Thats a good point, some of the touts will insist they escort you to the ticket stiles. They will use the opportunity to try and get a few extra $$$$ from you by saying they are broke and need to feed the family but don't worry hand over the cash that you agreed.

Good news story here. I always get my tickets for Rangers games on ticketmaster via Will Call and collect them in MSG at the box office. One time, I had booked in or around €500 worth of tickets for a bunch of games but had to cancel my trip about 3 weeks before hand for personal reasons. I contacted ticketmaster via email, explained my situation and they refunded me every last cent. Three cheers for ticketmaster US from me on this one.

Fair play, would be shocked if their Irish cousins did the same...

Got a pair of tickets for d devils vs jets, ok seats in d corner 8th row from the glass for 170euros.

They are held in the box office in prudential centre for me so happy days!

Roll on 5th of November, and hopefully kovy and Parise will stay healthy and brodeur recovers his form :D
