    Hi guys

Congrats to all of you who got CAP 2 results today!!!!!! :D
Thinking of you this morning ;)

Few queries in relation to FAE

    1. I note that there is a week of block release for lectures for the Dublin centre.
Do the other centres have a similar week of block release at some point during the year, or are all lectures at weekends only in the other centres?

    2. Could anyone post an FAE timetable from 2010/2011? - That would be great!!!

If thats not possible could you give me an idea if how many lectures I can be expected to attend over the year?

    3. Is attendance at FAE lectures recorded by a roll, and is there a certain mandatory attendance percentage?

FFS Fae this year hasn't even been sat yet. Wait till after. I've started studying last 5 weeks. You've plenty of time yet.

    Thanks hun.
I'm in the middle of moving counties at the moment, so I need to know this info before I submit the enrolment form by September 1.

I've attached my Core timetable. There's a separate one based on your elective, but there are only 8 sessions for the elective during the year (usually they combine two sessions into one full day, so in theory there's 4 days of lectures).

Block release happens twice a year. These are just two full weeks of lectures in which you get paid study leave from work to attend (or at least you're supposed to). They should happen to all students regardless of their locations.

Attendance isn't taken (well from the lectures i've been to) at any lectures except for Block Release. I presume the ability to be able to watch the lectures online is because of this.

Thank you ever so much. Really, really great stuff. Thank-you.
Which elective did you choose and were you happy with your decision?

Also I thought lectures start in November, not January?

I chose the audit elective. I work in auditing and it was the result i was best at in CAP2. By studying for the Elective you're also studying for the auditing version in the Core. I'm happy enough with so far, there's a bit of meat in it but not much more from CAP2. Although i'll probably change my mind if I fail in a few weeks.

They've got revision classes for all of the CAP2 stuff before December. They're mostly designed for those who have masters but they may be relevant if you're doubtful over some areas in CAP2. I didn't go to them myself, but there'd be no harm to go to them anyway.
