Canopus Box

    Ive been told i need a canopus box for the efficent transfer of live footage for analysis from more than one camera.

    Having done the research in some of the camera shops they tell me they are no longer used. However im told it is necessary for the software im using regardless of the advancement in technology.

    Does anyone have one for sale? Or whats the best advice i could get in regards to this.

    Basically im shooting live footage and tracking points in those live streams of footage.

    Canopus are huge, their products range from the amateur using an item like the ADVC-300 (that would be me..) to large, very expensive equipment for TV Channel broadcast.

    Just saying 'Canopus Box' doesn't mean much, as the range of hardware they sell is wide and varied, yet targets very specific niche markets. Depending very much on what you want to do.

    Canopus were taken over\bought by 'Grass Valley' a few years back, here's where canopus.com redirects to now:

    Thanks Amalgam,

    I wasnt aware of that, i thought it was a specific item. Basically i need something for live streaming of footage in to pc that will allow me to work on it and broadcast either by projector or with a tv for an indivudual to see whats happening.

    It would go between the camcorder and the pc i believe
