    Hey,

Just wondering if anyone know's of anywhere that a man could get a hydraulic thumb for a 3 ton tracked machine?

    Something similar to this

    http://www.digbits.co.uk/grip_talon.htm

    but hydraulic instead of fixed.

    Thanks

get a local engineering co. to make one up for you-they are simple to make, done one myself, and thumbs make a digger more useful than you would believe-just adds another whole dimension to what you can do with it- even a simple fixed thumb is really useful.

Cheers Figerty, I'll give them a bell and see what they can do.

I bought a bucket and pins of this crowd before

    http://www.vemacengineering.co.uk/

and found them good to deal with, my problem is knowing what a good price for something like this would be??

As I posted previously in this forum:

I've had buckets modified by Hillside Machine Tech, Upperwoods, Derrycon, Mountrath, Co. Laois.

I suspect these guys could make something like this too.
