I am moving soon and I want to bring my computer. One option might be to dump the case and bring the motherboard in my hand luggae. It was suggested that they might decide it looks like a bomb or something. Has anyone brought computer components with them in their hand luggage - and if so were there any issues?

i was coming back from bangkok last year and i had an external hard drive and a half a spindle of discs, when my bag went through the x-ray 2 officers came straight down and asked me to bring the bag over to a table and open it, when they saw what i had they just looked at each other and smiled then 1 of them said to me "when bag go through x-ray flash flash" i'm sure they thought i had a bomb or something but it was the discs were reflecting, they just left me go on after that.
