anyone watch this, its lawyer show on usa, and they leave a #suits bug up for most of the show incase you know you might either want to tweet about show thats not a reality show or get confused at what hashtag you might want to use.

they do asks questions at return from break, like will they find out his secret etc, but it does seem a little desperate and its more junk on screen

Not seen the show, but those twitter hashtags are everywhere now to be honest.... not just on US TV.

Loads of Channel 4 entertainment shows (like Alan Carr and Chris Moyles) have started advertising a hash-tag to encourage discussion.

It won't change anytime soon unfortunately. However, leaving a hashtag DOG constantly on screen is a tad excessive.

    Example of it below:

Thread title changed, since its more about the use of social media on TV (rather than the "Suits" TV show!)

Not exactly Social Media, but I have noticed the number of Daytime/Talk Shows/News Channels using iPads now.

project runway have a twitter hashtag next to every designer's name now, it wrecks my head. I suppose it's good free advertising? I don't really understand how because I don't twitter though.
