Long shot, but is anyone aware of Chinese classes for children in Galway? I've heard of a Chinese Society in town that runs events but have not come across lessons. I'm assuming there isn't anything like Alliance Francais or the Goethe Institute when it comes to Chinese.

Chinese lady who works in the eurasian shop on market street at the corner of cookes restaurant and the hairdressers opposit it.
I have been in there a few times and she teaches secondary school kids chinese, seems good and the kids are fairly handy with the dialect.Seems she does a bit of teaching on the characters as well which is the hardest for westerners to grasp.
Might be worth a shot calling in.

My wife (Shanghainese) is a teacher at one of the institutes already mentioned in this thread and also teaches adults and children privately. She has taught for several years at private language centres and in a high school in Shanghai and would be happy to contact you directly if you would like to discuss lessons in more detail.
