    Hi

I have known the revenue to ask the tax payer to confirm their bank details in cases of there being a refund due. This is for security purposes only. They will always do this via a letter and not an email and it will usually have your PPS number on the letter as a reference.

However you should never ever disclose anything further like your online banking PIN etc. If in doubt ring revenue.

    Hope this helps

Hi. thanks for the reply. i recently purchased land- would that have anything to do with it?

They want me to disclose my assets,eg: car, house, land

That's a most unusual request, except in a full-scale investigation.

    You need professional assistance.

    Hi

    You do need professional advise.

They are more then likely going to match up the information given to other information that they already have on REAP.

It could very well be a prelude to a revenue intervention.

    Kind Regards

Do that the other way around. See your accountant first.

go to accountant first = they will check if it is genuine and revenue treat them with more respect than taxpayers imo
