    Hey folks,

Im looking at getting an LG 42 PW 450, its a Plasma active 3D Tv. Its costing in and around 500, for this money though, i could get a higher resolution LCD TV (although, this wouldn't be 3D)

What would you suggest? or would you suggest something totally different for this money?

Is it 3D that's appealing to you? Not the biggest fan of 3D,don't think it'll take off,nor do the big companies. I'd rather an LCD myself.

I've no comment on the 3D aspect and I'm not particularly inclined toward 3D but I'd sooner a plasma over LCD - much warmer picture and a whole lot more natural.

These days I would not be buying a 1024 x 768 native resolution TV.

There are many many reasons for this, for example , nothing out there source wise outputs at this resolution , and many devices , such as steamers , HTPC's mac minis and so on , have trouble outputting to such screens.

Save yourself a lot of heartache and go for a 1080p plasma , plasma definitely has the edge over LCD or " LED" backlit LCD screens at this moment in time , but not at that native resolution.
