    Hi all,

Anybody buy an iPad/anything else from LaptopsDirect.co.uk???

    Any problems?

    Keith.

P.S. By entering your PPS number as VAT number - they will sell without the VAT

PPS and Vat number are the same for some self employed people. I don't know what the story is with claiming your vat registered when your not, it's fraud but not sure if anyone will ever figure it out.

I bought a laptop from them about 4 years ago. On it's second battery, but still going strong.

Have dealt with them in the past, good company to deal with and their delivery is very fast. They might ask you to prove that you're VAT registered, I purchased from them recently and after placing the order received a call to fax/email them proof.

No need to ask for proof. They only have to go here to check they are sending to VAT registered entity.

See enclosed snapshot after entering a PPS #

I went through hell with them a couple of years back, they're a nightmare to deal with if something goes wrong. I wouldn't touch them again.

Well, part of my problem was that when I did go to acer, the laptop was already registered to someone else... so that doesn't necessarily mean you're out of the woods!
