    Guys

I post a bit here and I am looking to organize an event.

My niece was born 6 months ago with a rare brain disease and as a result spends an awful lot of time in Temple Street hospital and will continue to do so for a long time.

Anyway my idea is to organise a classic in aid of either a foundation in her name or for Temple street themselves - so I am looking for help before I start to plan - i.e suitable venues(dublin + surrounds) that allow these kind of days and maybe discount due to the nature of the event, format of how it should be played, how many people I would need to monitor/administer the event, potential sponsorship/prize ideas and what the cost should be to each player/team???

Anyone who has previous with this could you let me know, it is only early stages but I would like to get the wheels in motion.

    Its a good idea.

You need to approach Temple St and see if they already have a group who organise fundraising. I am sure they would be delighted to get a new volunteer with a good idea and the will to make it work.

Any club would respond to an official fundraising body but unlikely they would look on an individual as favourably.

    Best of luck with it.

firstly, hopefully your daughter gets through her illness and secondly, count me in for any classic you organise. I'm sure we'll get a few teams from here too.
