Hi guys I have a spectroscopy exam next week and need help with the following question and I am wondering if someone could help me
It is possible to determine the presence of both palladium(I1) and gold(I1)
simultaneously in a sample by reaction with methiomeorazine
(C19H24N2S2). The absorption maximum for the Pd complex formed
occurs at 460 nm while that for the gold complex occurs at 6 15 nm. Given
in the table below are the extinction coefficients for the complexes
    formed.
    Em E m
    (M-' cm-' )
    pd3+ complex 3050 5 34
    AU~' complex 2550 10450
If a 50 ml sample is treated with excess methiomeorazine, and
subsequently diluted to 100 ml, calculate the concentration of both Pd(I1)
and Au(I1) if the diluted solution has an absorbance of 0.43 at 460 nm and
    0.39 at 615
    nm.
