I started a thread here a while back about the Marathon SAR. I was thinking about buying one, but I don't think I can justify the expense at the moment.
So in my search for something kinda similar and more within budget I came across the Seiko SKX007.

Reading up on them, they seem to be a very popular diver watch and have good reviews. On ebay they are around £150 - £170.

Any opinions on the watch and is there anywhere else I should be looking to buy one?

Dozens of the Seikos on eBay out of Singapore for $160 including shipping(rubber or steel), so about 115 Euro is all one should cost.

I saw that one of the thread a while ago. It would be much nicer without that "envelope" and writing on the dial. If it had a nice clean looking dial I would probably go for one.

Here's a pic of the 007.
Lovely clean dial IMO.

This is the K version, note the clean dial. Supposed to be assembled in Malaysia or Singapore.

This is the J version

This one says Made in Japan and 21 Jewels on the dial. Slightly more expensive for the J because of perceived better quality (Made in Japan)

Not a fan of the Spork either. I like the classic look of the 007 dial, the round lume dots, slim bezel etc.
That website, creationwatches, lists the SKX007J at €139 with free shipping. What custom charges should I expect if it's stopped?

About €30 plus a charge of about €7 if it's An Post handling it, don't use fedex and there is a chance it won't be picked up on and fedex will charge €15 handling fee from memory
