I'm looking to get a net book, pretty much mainly for web use(mostly browsing, not so much downloading as I only have the 3 Broadband dongle),but also is it possible to get one that I could upload a couple of Films from a media player (a mate of mine has one full of stuff he has downloaded)and plug into my TV with a HDMI cable?

I know my way around a computer well enough, but I'm totally clueless when it come to how much Ram,Gb or whatever else it is that is needed

Also only hoping to spend a Max of about €300 if possible

I got myself a Dell Mini 1018 for €250 a while back and am loving it. It doesnt have HDMI, but I dont think a sub-€300 netbook would have HDMI, or be capable of displaying HD content.

What you need to remember is that a netbook is a Mini-computer, in all senses of the word.
For example, I cant watch an episode of a show and use the web at the same time on it. Its just too slow for that sort of stuff.

And what about a tablet?Would they be pretty much just for browsing and are they cheaper than a netbook?
