I am going to upgrade my Sony laptops RAM and I have a few questions.
Where is the best place to buy ram, should I get it from a Sony shop or will online websites provide the same thing?
Is there different 'brands' of ram that might be better or worse than another type or is it all standard?
Is it hard to install once you get it,would i be able to do it myself? Iv read that of done wrongly you can fry the motherboard because of static,is there any truth in that?

    Thanks

Type ran you need SODIMM ( Or just google "laptop ram")

RAM is RAM, dosen't matter who you who get it off.

It easy to install it , the static wont fry the mother borad , it could fry the RAM, I've installed ram in my EEEPc on my bed.

I'd recommend to download and run this first to get the type of RAM you've already got installed.
