    http://www.ifconfig.biz

It's a basic tool to show network admins / anyone that wants to know what their IP Address is and which ISP they're currently using.

I know there's a tonne of sites that do the IP Address thing but I find them cluttered with adverts and few of them tell you who owns the IP Address.

Anything you think could be added changed without affecting it's simplicity?

    Thank you :D

Also if anyone has any ideas as to how to generate more traffic that'd be cool also! :)

I find the .biz TLD to be a very strange choice for this one.

I don't really know what to tell you in terms of how to improve it - if you add more info, you are by definition making it less simple (but more useful).

As for traffic - as you say there's a tonne of these sites out there - what differentiates them is how easy to use, how well designed and what features they provide. Some of my favourite similar tools are:

    Thanks Trojan!

Ye - the .biz was the first one available as I just intended to use this site in work as www.whatismyip.org was constantly down. I've also registered ipconfig.ie which I'm going to eventually change to :)

You have to compete with speedtest.net as well. see your ip and test your speeds out at the same time. There are others too. The concept you have is not bad - it needs modification however or maybe a more stylish GUI. Any ideas or plans in terms of site development may I ask?

Thanks warlikedave. I think speedtest.net is a very clunky flashed based system and despite it being great at what it does, I find it too slow. I much prefer speedtest.magnet.ie but I'm not really trying to compete with speed tests (not just yet hehe!).

No plans for development yet - Trying to think of how I can make it better yet keep it simplistic.

No Problem - aye ive used the magnet one myself and its simple and ok looking. The speedtest GUI i find to be fairly good now. Still it all comes down to what you want your site to do and how it does it :)

I was thinking maybe have to have simple 'popular' ISP tab or something? Most visited ISPs 'this week' kind of thing?

Not a bad idea - maybe a way to rate isps as well maybe?

I've added a small info bubble which shows how many times your ISP has been looked up in the database :)
