Does anyone can help me with a problem bothering me since a few days...
I'm eligible for free fees ( member of EU, resident of IE, first undergraduate course)
    I'm in receipt of BTEA
    what about contribution fee?
I've applied to Dublin City Council for it but have no idea how it works. I have red all Student Grant Scheme 2011 but there is one thing that makes me very confused.]
    Table A in Schedule 1, page 35:)
One before last column, which income limit is 51,380 ( which I & my partner don't exceed):
-maintenance is not payable- ok, I'm not eligible to it as far I'm in receipt of BTEA
-next one is ''fee elements: 50% tuition fees'' and ''100% contribution fees''...what does it mean???? does mean that since I am eligible to free contribution fee I have to pay 50% tuition fee?or what? I know I am eligible for free tuition fee so I'm totally confused...

or last column (same table) is ''maintenance not payable, fee element: tuition fee not payable, 50% contribution, it applies to income limit 55,920...

I understand incomes limits, I understand that BTEA are not eligible to maintenance grants, just can't understand this section with ''50% of tuition fee''
    anyone can help?
    thanks a lot in advance

The 50% tuition fee is for postgraduate students only. If they are in that income band, they are eligible for 50% of the course fee up to a maximum of €3135. Below that income band they are eligible for 100% of course fees up to a maximum of €6270.

If you are under the €51380 limit you will qualify for the €2000 Student Contribution.
