    Three films to choose from:

    Rise of the Apes,

    Super 8

    Captain America

Which one would not be a total waste of whats left of my cash;).

    Thanks

Well I'm biased (in the sense that I haven't seen the other two) so definitely Captain America. It's brilliant.

Captain America is poor, very poor and i say that as someone who loves Superhero films. It starts out promising but poor plot and poor action scenes left me very disappointed. Also the costume just looks ridiculously camp. Hopefully it gets a bit of a revamp for the Avengers.

Im lookin forward to catching the other flicks next week myself!

Haven't seen any of them yet but based on trailers and reviews (which you can't go by at the best of times) i would see them in the following order

    Super 8
    Rise of the Apes
    Captain America

not much interest in the second two so Super 8 would be the clear winner and would come down to a coin toss between the other two. Lets know what you see and if it's worth a look.

It mean's he liked Captain America.

Captain America is the only one of the 3 I've seen OP and I thought it was brilliant, the second hour is a bit rushed which is a shame but the first hour and the ending are all pretty good. Well worth going to see imo. Heard the other 2 films are good too though, particularly Planet of the Apes.

I've seen Cap and Super 8 and I enjoyed both very much. I would say I enjoyed Super 8 slightly more -or to put it another way- I came out of it happier.

Over at the Super 8 thread a lot of people were saying they were disappointed, but I had no hype or knowledge of the movie (same for Cap) so if you're the same I would go with Super 8. It's better if you want it to make you munch furiously on your popcorn too.

Depends on what you're looking for really.

I've only seen Captain America and Super 8,
but if I was going to go and rewatch one,
it would probably be Captain America.

Super 8 is a bit more serious than Captain America,
although the later does drag at times.

If you're looking for mindless action - Captain America
Looking for a film with a little bit of a storyline - Super 8

Hope you didn't think I was taking the p!ss! It's based on this http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/okay-guy--2

I loved Captain America though, but again each to their own. It has everything a super hero movie needs. Even the blatant tongue in cheek. The only fault I saw was that the middle drags on a wee bit.
