Can anybody advise me if this course would be much use to me. I have a 2 year Higher Cert of Business Studies degree and a 2 year Financial Services degree but i cant find any work. Just wondering has anybody done this course im looking at doing it in W.I.T. I was looking at free courses in FAS but i presume they wouldnt be as good as a college course. Have you looked into Springboard? They're courses delivered by regular 3rd level institutions but free if you've been unemployed for > 3 months.

Better than twiddling your thumbs? Bear in mind its a level 5 FETAC (Leaving Cert) standard, so it would be a step down from your degree studies.

I wouldnt snub a free FAS course, you will find many private instution tutors working in FAS and vice versa.. nothing wrong with the standard of tuition in FAS.

It would give you a grounding in accounting principles, what a debits & credits etc, but I wouldnt think it would drastically improve your job prospects, although it wouldnt hurt them either..

go for the IATI course if you want to improve your job prospects, would take longer but very high chance of finding employment compared to a level 5 course
