Man Bag as a present

It will be my boyfriend's birthday in November ( I know I know, I'm planning VERY early but want to save and its close to Christmas etc:o) and I'm trying to think of something great to get him and thought of this.
I was thinking of getting a really nice leather satchel type bag for him as he uses a back pack for taking lunch etc, to work with him everyday and I thought that a bag like this would serve the same function but look nice too. .....what do you think? Too girly? Too not qute right?
Incidently he will be 34 and works in a suit type job.

I think it's a great idea. If he wears a suit to work, this type of bag would work better for him than a backpack which could be awkward if wearing a suit.

Thanks The bag looks like its going to be a winner. It looks great. I got a City Deal yesterday for a nice hotel in Ballsbridge too so with the price of that bag and the city deal I can take him out for a fancy pants dinner too and stay over night in town. Ohh and maybe if City Deal play ball I could get post birthday party massages the next day for us!.
