Father in law remarrying? Ideas for gift?

    Hi all

My father in law is remarrying and the OH and I are completely stuck on what gift to give them / how much to spend.

It's a small intimate ceremony so the old "cover the cost of you meal" rule doesn't really apply here (I don't like that expression, bykwim).

Their mortage is paid off and house fully furnished so they want for nothing really.

They're in England if that changes anything (it seems gifts aren't as extravagant over there).

    Thanks

I bought my mother a eeepc for her wedding 3 years ago.
They were going around the world on their honeymoon so used it to skype us,Someone else got them a nice Sony digital slr camera.
Do they have grandkids?Mine didn't at the time but do now and If they do the laptop idea and lessons how to use skype really is priceless!
