I have a similar problem. The contacts are in my address book, but when they call instead of their name its their number that appears :( Its the same with text messages.

Or are you having a different problem where "unknown" is ringing? Perhaps they have their phone number blocked...

    [my phone: HTC Sensation]

This often happens when the same number is stored in two address book entries. It can happen if you have the same person stored as (e.g.) as 'Mary Murphy' and 'Murphy, Mary' or similar.

She tried that last night when she cleaned up her contacts but no luck. Will ring Vodafone today. They may not have switched on something when she moved over from O2.Will keep everyone posted.

    Edit:
Problem solved.Activation of contacts had not been turned on by Vodafone. All sorted now.
