It’s that time of year again and I’m doing up a list of places to ring for a quote. I’m with 123.ie, but I’m still waiting on a renewal price and my insurance is up in 11 days.

    Allianz-1890484848
    Aviva-1890 33 22 11
    Axa-817 9733
    Bestquote-0818223223
    FBD- 1890617617
    Insure-2932300
    Nononsense-1890252737
    One Direct-1890222222
    Zurich-1850444500

Am I missing anyone? I have left the following out:
    • AA- Don’t include roadside breakdown and expect you to pay a lot more for that
    • Quinn Direct-They class my area as high risk and wanted to see a passport/I.D and fill in some form before they can quote me, even though I can see their Blanch tower/office from my house
    • Tesco-Just getting a quote of them last year was a nightmare, so that turned me off them
    Thanks for any help/information!

Thanks for the list and numbers!

I had Glennon before and they are cheap. just the having to pay by bank draft(i think that's what its called) made me change. I tried to ring them for household insurance and got messed around with the call being bounced around.

Great idea to Sticky a list of Insurance companies. Always feel like your forgetting a company to ring.

Apparently some insurers charge you more if you state you're already an existing customer - sometimes much more. When quizzed by the Irish times they validated as "promotions in new customer channels"
