i am a third yeear eng student. I missed a lot of the year due to a medical condition(persistent ear infections).. meant to have 10 exams in may..missed 4(with a med cert) and failed 3...in an absolute hole now with 7 exams on my plate and the supplementals 2 and a bit weeks away..
i would be grateful if anyone could advise me about how to go about applying for medical repetition of the year and what kind of documentation etc is neccesary(i realise this is the tutor's job but he has not responded to my email yet)
Thanks for your time any info would be much appreciated lads and lassies!

Your tutor might be away? Have you checked if your tutor has cover if he/she is not available.

The following form needs to be filled out and submitted to the senior lecturer. There is a section for your doctor to fill out.

Obviously this form would not be submitted to the senior lecturer until after an unsuccessful supplemental exam.

Hopefully things go better for your supplemental exams.

Just FYI, if you fail the repeats you might be lucky enough to get super supplementals if you can plead your case... which you probably can like.

I missed exams due to illness too and was told by the head of a department and by my tutor that I'd most likely get super-supps if I failed these exams (which I hopefully won't, but ya know...) so I assume you're in the same boat.
