Wedding flowers in December

    Hi All,

    Can you please advise if you can. How much should wedding flowers cost. I have not yet met with florists, but I am told to go in with a budget.

    1 brides bouquet, 3 bridesmaids, 7 buttonholes for the boys. 2 bouquets for the mammies. Then flowers for the church. Alter piece, candles piece and top 10 seats having little pieces on them.

    I'm not that up on wedding flowers, so advise would be brilliant.

    Oh and the wedding is in Galway, if anyone can suggest a reasonably priced good florist.

    oh interested in this one, think alot depends on what you choose, i'd also ask for rental where possible, also ask the church is there anyone around the days of your wedding, you could share the cost of the church flower-just a thought......

    The price will depend on when in December your wedding is flower prices do go up quite alot in the run up to Christmas, and even after the auctions dont open till new year bar maybe one day.I owned a florist shop a few years ago and we had many weddings for the 24th and 26th also new years eve. It will cost you more than a week in Sept but with good reason, as for price its impossible to say without knowing what flowers styles etc you want

    As flowers will cost more in December and the choice might be quiet limited, can I suggest getting silk flowers? There are lots of places out there - online that do beautiful silk flowers...
