    any good deals in a 40" or bigger 3d tv out there or are they worth buying,is it a passing phase?

    Hard to know if it's a passing phase or not. If it is here to stay I would be very surprised if the glasses version is widely popular in 5 years.

    I would expect a lot of 3d glasses being quietly left in boxes around the country when the neighbours that weren't early adopters pick up a full 3dtv set that doesn't require glasses for a fraction of the cost of what's currently on offer.

    That's the nature of technology, I suppose.
