Im doing a course where i need work experience once a week and there is also a block week involved. When writing a cover letter asking for work experience, do i mention the day and the week? Its just that, i have never seen any sample cover letters that does mention it.

    Hi HardLuckWoman,

I reckon that if you've got relative freedom in when you yourself are available to do your day/week of work experience then you may not have to mention the specific days/dates when you want the work.

If however, you're only available on Friday's or "the first week of September" (for the block part for example) then it would probably be worth specifying that in your letter.

I was looking up getting help with c.v. and cover letter writing today and came across this link on donedeal - might be of some use though have not availed of this guy myself yet: http://www.donedeal.ie/find/all/for-sale/Ireland/cv%20cover%20letter

I was doing a course where we had to do placement like that and I said the dates and when the block weeks were, you could ring them too might be easier!

I would mention it in the cover letter, otherwise they will have no idea what your availability is without having to ring you.
