Is it possible to book tickets on the Dublin to Belfast Express online? After much searching I can't find where to do so on the Bus Eireann Website. Are there any regular travellers on the route that can help me?

You cannot book tickets online due to the different currencies . The timetable is available online though.

Nothing to do with currencies - it is down to the fact that Ulsterbus and Bus Eireann have different ticketing systems and an Ulsterbus driver would not be able to verify the online ticket code.

This applies to all cross-border routes.

You can buy a ticket in the bus station or on the bus.

You can buy Eurolines tickets on-line ( https://194.106.151.95/EurolinesPublic/EurolinesPublicWebApp/EuroPublicTravelDetails.aspx ) but you can't buy a ticket for a bus from Dublin to Belfast on-line ...

Just another bullet point on the list of failures of a CIE company.

Or perhaps a failure on the part of Translink?

Lets be honest Bus Eireann was miles ahead of Translink in getting this up and running and is by far the bigger operator - surely Translink should be following their lead?

The Eurolines service is operated by Bus Eireann so there is no issue with different operators ticketing.
