hey lads..i'm in serious need of a pair of padded compression shorts that will cover my quad. i actually play hurling and got a severe dead leg but have a championship quarter final friday and need to protect it as its as tender as fùck.

does anyone know any website that deliver within a day or any shops in the kerry/limerick area.

Strap it up with padding covering the tender area. Or go to a physio who, as a professional, might be able to recommend the best ways of protecting it.

I went to a physio before with a similar problem, well I had bad bruising to my hip and was quite tender. But like you, I needed to play regardless. What she actually said to do was wrap bubble wrap around it..no joke. :P

ya i think at this stage its too late to get any type of shorts online due to postage times. i've seen the McDavid padded conpression shorts which look the business but i think ill be strapping it.

got the dead leg over a week ago but got a knee in training in the same place about 4 days afterwards. mine never bruised so the blood just stayed in the muscle which is apparently worse than if it bled away from the injured area. just my luck.

By any chance you know some American Football players, UL Vikings for example?

Players are required to wear thigh pads and nowadays you can get compression shorts with removable pads, they may be able to point you in the right direction for where to get them (they may even have a supply).
