Does anybody know if this race is worth doing?

Is it well organised and has it been well established or is this the first yr its been running?

I see my the website , nothing is on closed roads and in some parts run and cycle route overlap.. sounds a bit dodgy. I have done sprints on open roads before which I dont mind as long as traffic is not too heavy which I dont think it will be on this route, but run and cycle route being shared sounds a bit.. eerrrrr..

Also Any idea of what kinda numbers are doing it, and basically if its worth doing?

    Cheers in advance
    Noel

I haven't a clue Noel I haven't done it yet but I know our club used it as their annual club outing last year and are doing so again this year so it must be of a decent standard or they would have gone somewhere else this year.

Might see you there if I can get a pass

I did it last year & really enjoyed it. I wasn't long back after a double fracture of the humerus & my fitness levels weren't great so this race was ideal.
The roads were open for the cycle but they were mainly quite roads apart from one stretch on a main road but the traffic wasn't heavy at all. Run was nice & flat apart from one small hill. From what I can remember the run only clashed with the cycle for only about half a mile & then took a different route. Swim was grand also, swim out to one buoy & back again. Anyway I'd recommended the race & I'm going to have another go at it this year.
