Call forwarding icon iPhone 4

Anyone else have an issue with the iPhone 4 where by when restarting the call forwarding icon is displayed? Go to settings and check it, it's turned off as expected and then the icon disappears. Why is it displayed as on by default when it's not active?

2nd that. I have one on vodafone and I've never seen it, my wife is on Three and I have never been able to work out how to get rid of it.

I have seen this a couple of times on my iPhone 3 with 3. Have not seen it on the iPhone 4.

It does seem to be a 3 issue. My wife's 4 always has the call forwarding icon on. I can switch it off but it will appear again within a few hours. My phone ,a 4 as well , had the same thing but it disappeared a few months ago and never came back. Both phones are on same software and synced to same iTunes account.

Interesting. I'm with 3 myself as is a mate who has the same issue. Must be a 3 only thing.

Myself and gf, both with 3, have the issue.
I'm on ios5 and she on 4.2 so it's not the OS.
Was on vodafone earlier with these phones and never saw it so it's definitely a Three issue.

How to get rid of it: after starting up the phone go to Settings/Phone/Call Forwarding.
The phone then checks against the network and realises forwarding isn't enabled so removes icon.
