What does an NCT test involve?

    Hey, just wondering will the NCT be running the car for long periods of time and changing gear and stuff.

    Basically I have a problem with the gear linkage, replacement part has been ordered, but won't arrive until after.

    The problem is one of the rods pops off randomly form time to time, the chances of it happening are pretty low unless the car is run for a long time. So will they run it much?

    Usually just 1st gear and maybe 2nd if you parked a bit away from the entrance.
    They will leave the engine ruuning for most of the test (about 20 mins )
