Does anyone know if there is a channel that shows GAA coverage in the United States? As far as i know the Setanta channel is now gone in the US. I would like to purchase a channel to watch the GAA and rugby if it was available

It depends on where you live and who your local cable company is as not all cable companies offer the same channels. When I was with Comcast Cable, Setanta was not available where I lived. There was not much demand for it, as there were few Irish/English/Scottish around. But in the larger cities in the north east like Philly and NY it was available, as they would have a huge Irish population base. BBC American show rugby internationals, but it may or may not be available where you are. It depends on who your cable company is. Give them a shout.

Pubs in NYC charge $20 a head in. I did it for the All Ireland final last year and I'm not even from either of the two counties that were playing. Paid $40 cause was with the missus but a pub packed full of sweaty screaming culchies was not for her, she ran out after 30 seconds. What a waste of $20 though:mad:

http://www.mhznetworks.org/ is available on certain carriers in certain regions, it has a few GAA matches during the year, some live, some replays in the middle of the week.

www.premiumsports.ca stream the matches online, you can subscribe or pay per view for each match

EDIT: AFAIK Setanta used to force the pubs to charge the $20 a head, premium sports (who provide the feeds these days) don't force the pubs to do that anymore but the pub's have kept it up as a nice little earner. You should definitely take them up on it if they're still charging per head.
