The League (FX US)

Just wondering if anyone here watches The League. It's about a group of friends who are in a Fantasy Football League (American Football) and it's actually really funny. If you like your NFL you would love this as its full of cameos from NFL players.

i've watched the first 2 series and found it very good, but it' not very mainstream

I followed it, really enjoyed it, and I dont follow American Football.

Been watching it since it started. I don't know much about American Football, and even less about american fantasy football but I love this show.

FX have some really good shows at the moment.

I've said it on other threads, and I'll say it here again. Possibly the best show (comedy) on TV at the moment.

If you watch Community you would have seen Ruxin playing a German jock which was hilarious.

Seen every single episode, easily the funniest thing on tv.

They've moved away from the fantasy football element and more towards pure comedy and it's even funnier.

Yeah, I'd noticed that they had hardly mentioned the Fantasy Football this season, in fact I don't think there has been a single mention of the Shiva!!

Fantastic show, last weekes episode with the drugs was some of the funniest stuff ive seen this season

Hmmm, looking for a new comedy to fill the Community shaped hole in my viewing schedule for the next couple of months...

My favourite comedies of the past few years have been Community, Parks & Recreations, Party Down - would this be along those lines?

YES!
This will definitely fill the hole. It reminds me a lot of the humour in Party Down.

Out of those three I only watch community, so I can't compare, but if I was forced to id say it's a less dark "always sunny". the characters all rip the piss out of each other, and there are some genuinely funny lines/situations

It follows always sunny in the fx schedule if that's any indication
