I wonder how they are going to do that. She's supposed to be dead right. Must be a flashback, or knowing American telly, a long lost identical twin???

But she's suing the show's creator and left on really bad terms, so I HIGHLY doubt she'll be back. Marc Cherry's actual comment about it was "I don't know how I would do that but I have an idea for the last episode in which I want to [pay] homage to everyone that's been there before, you know, who's been on the show, so we'll see what happens with that."

The part in bold implies to me that she won't be coming back.

Hire a drag queen lookalike for the part?

    when is it back ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,233 ✭✭✭PopTarts

It started back in the US on Sunday.

It was a pretty poor opening episode. Didn't really go anywhere at all.

The last 30 seconds were pretty brilliant though.
Bree found a letter in her post box, with the same wording of the letter Mary Alice received all those years ago! "I know what you did. It makes me sick. I'm going to tell."

Is anyone caught up with the US? I cannot believe a storyline that I think is developing!!!!

Anyone up to speed with this. Very surprising turn of events in the last episode.
    Mike is Dead

Seems to be building up to a pretty good climax. Glad I stuck with it through some of the more mundane episodes this season.

    How do you know
Mike's to die? I hope he doesn't!! :O I bet something's going to happen to Renee because the loan shark was really strange with her on tonights ep..

I watch it online so I'm ahead of Ireland.
Yes Mike does die, shot by a loan shark hired by Ben.

Orson comes back and tries to turn Bree against the girls. He is the one who has been sending her the letters, he has been stalking her for months. When she finds out and rejects him he sends all the information on the murder to the police and she is charged with the murder, their case is weak but because of her relationship with that cop, the police are falsifying evidence against her.

One of the twins is the father, can't remember which. When he finds out he wants to raise the baby. After Mike's death Julie decides she wants to keep the baby though.

    Wow
I couldnt believe it either when I heard Mike was to die.. cant believe it!
Bree gets found out:O wow.... i never liked orson anyways...

anything happen with Gabby or Carlos?
do the girls not confess to help Bree when she gets caught?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,698 ✭✭✭✭Princess Peach

Yeah have tissues ready for the episode of
    Mike's funeral!

Carlos comes out of rehab and quits his job cause he wants to be a counselor, and eventually Gabby supports his decision but gets a job herself as a personal shopper.

They don't confess because her lawyer says the case against her is so weak that nothing will come of it, Carlos wanted to confess but Gabby talked him out of it.

Please don't spoiler FUTURE episodes without spoiler tags.
It's not fair for the people who are watching on terrestrial TV.

After 8 seasons this show finally comes to an end tonight, be interesting to see how it does in the ratings.

how many weeks behind is rte 2 ? , susan discovered that mike had an autistic sister last week

Apparently ABC hasn't been promoting it at all, I think it's going to go out with a whimper.

As it should be, I've been following it at US pace and it's bloody awful.

    Junk_seller: RTE's about 3 episodes behind I think.

the last few series have been completley forgettable , the set up at the end of the last series was so contrived and stupid , carlos ( awfull actor ) kills a charechter who shows up for no particular reason

I have to say I'm relieved that's over. I had a strange, masochistic compulsion to see it out to the end. It went on for about 6 years too long and ran out of storyline before season 2 had wound down. Predictable and dull ending too.

Finale episode on RTE 2 tonight

Woah, let's not all post at the one time about the last ever episode here ok!! :p

In fairness to the show, it had some great characters and witty dialogue despite some woeful storylines, and the final episode wasn't up to a whole lot. This happens to most shows that run on that long, particularly US Shows, but I for one am sad to see the girls gone. I'd be one of those people who gets attached to characters and am always sorry to see a show I like finish, same as Friends, Frasier, Buffy, Angel, Scrubs, and Sopranos before it. :( It was always something to watch that both myself and my girlfriend could agree on and made time for on a Tuesday night. Pinning all my hopes on The Walking Dead now, lol :D:pac:

So my wife had the sky box set to record this and for some reason the box crashed or freezed or something that required it to be restarted .End result is it didn't record desperate housewives and I'm being blamed due to having the box full of ,as she said ,"top gear and other crap"

Does anyone know where I can get the last episode online before she literally has a breakdown in front of me and goes into murderous rage.

And so it ends after eight years. I first got into DH when my wife was in the Rotunda having our first child in 2004. She was in the hospital for a few days and Channel 4 (I think) had a DH night/weekend that caught up on all the episodes that had been shown (we hadn't been watching it to that point). I started watching it and became intrigued by the Mary Alice storyline and the characters who had the chemistry between them that a hit show requires.
After my wife came home she got stuck into it as well. It was the only programme we probably watch together and agree on. I tolerate the soaps etc but I actually enjoyed watching DH. Despite suffering from the odd bad season and outrageous storylines (Wisteria Lane is perhaps one of the most dangerous places to live despite it being a Norman Rockwell wet dream) we always kept coming back. Have to say I'm a bit sad it's ended. I liked the last episode -- thought it was an appropriate way to end the series. Actually said to the wife when I heard that this was to be the last series that the only way they could end it is to
rip the friends apart and have them leave the Lane
. Which is basically what happened.
So now myself and the missus have to find another programme we both like to watch. So farewell to the ladies and gentlemen of Wisteria Lane. It was damn fun. Thank you.
