I bought a wireless pci card from ebay and it arrived yesterday. I put it in my old pc (Dell Dimension2200). It connects to the internet but after a minute or so the system freezes. And ideas what is happenning?

Did you install the drivers from a disc that came with it?
If so, look online for updated drivers.

Take the card out first. or disable it in the device manager

It sounds like that particular card is not playing right with your computer......

If you uninstall it (IF YOU CAN) are things better?

    Good luck :)

I had a wireless card that didnt play nice with Windows for a while and caused system freezes like you described (D-Link DWA-547 to be precise) it wasnt until later drivers that the issue was eliminated... are you sure you have the latest?
