    Hi Guys,

There is a person handing out flyers to local residence that contain a petition against a local club.

He is posting these through their letter-box.

Does he need a permit to do this or what way is their to stop him from doing it, i.e reporting it as junkmail etc....

Only reason I am asking is that this is a very popular place and he is the only person to complain and is creating a lot of hassle.

    Thanks

not to be smart but who would you report it as junk mail to? Peoppe with no junk mail sometimes get junk mail and i do not think there is anyway to report it. The only thing you can do is tell an Post you do not want their junk mail i.e junk mail/ads An post deliver.

But you said he is posting the flyers thru the doorss himself?

He has a right to complain. No one has to listen to him.

No license is required to hand out flyers or drop things through the letterbox. Junkmail isn't exactly illegal.

Most people get random crap through their doors every day.

Nothing illegal about it, unless you are specifically targeting one particular person with what you put through their letterbox. That could become harassment.

apparently you can but if someone has a no jubnk mail sign and ou ignore it you may get an earful;)

Also if there was lies being broadcast on the flyers it might be defamation but I do not know
