Fried graphics card?

My PC has been playing up - basically I started getting graphics glitches and this has now gotten to the stage where I can only boot into safe mode (just about).

I built this PC late last year, however, I skimped by using a old power supply that I had (yes, I know, asking for trouble). Specs were
    • AMD Athlon II X3 440 95W, Sockel AM3
    • 4GB Corsair Twin3X4096-1333C9A DDR3, CL9
    • MSI 770-C45, AM3 (no on-board graphics)
    • Palit GTX460 768MB, PCI-Express
    • Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB, SATA II
    • Antec True550 550W PSU
    • Windows 7 Ultimate
After encountering the problem and doing a bit of searching, I reckoned a new PSU might hopefully sort it out so I got this one : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004RJ8EKI/ref=oss_product

Alas, after installing the new PSU, the problem persists so it looks like my graphics card is fec*ed .

Anything else I can try before I get a new graphics card?

Any recommendations (BF3 around the corner and all that)?

Kinda blows my budget to update the CPU out of the water.

Yeah, I should be covered, might just upgrade to this while I'm waiting though and flog the replacement when I get it. Thoughts?

I'd suggest doing a clean install of OS, reset BIOS to default before hand just in case. could be some corrupted drivers/settings, which could be possible seeing how you can safe boot,

Also make sure all components are correctly seated, power cables fully inserted too. if still in this predicament try gfx card on another pc if possible to rule it out.
