Hi, so about 4 weeks ago ive bought 710 mb blade irons second hand.

for some reason the club face on 3 of the clubs have slight scratches on them, since they are the most used irons in the bag, im a bit worried that they are showing signs of rust already not much but still a few bits. should this be happening to them. as ive said they are second hand the guy that had them before me said there were a year old, but didnt look like they were used alot.

Is this normal ? has it happend to yours ? What can i do to reduce it / control it ?

(i did give them a once over today with some wd40 when i found the rust.)

your comments / help would be much appreciated thanks

    stephen

Main advice here is to dry or leave in airy space after using in very wet conditions. Just not in boot of the car should be fine.

If the clubs are well used then the rust proof coating wears off - usually of sole first, then faces. Once this starts to come off you're down to the bare metal which rusts pronto when left wet. You only generally see this happen on wedges or old clubs though due to heavy use.

Wouldn't worry about it - just take care to air after wet play.

cheers will do, yeh will admit when i got a soaking on sunday i just left the bag head closed, forgot to open and clean them, prob why it happend.

is there something u can get like spray that can spray ur clubs and it will re-coat them with something made for clubs to stop them rusting ?

I'm sure you could wipe them in WD40 if you wanted, but should be no need to do anything more than a very quick wipe of the heads with a towel. Also if everything gets really soaked, take them all out of the bag as the shafts will also rust over a shorter space of time if you don't.
