Considering getting my Iphone fixed (not sure if its 3g or 3gs!) but I was looking on ebay at Iphone 3gs for roughly €70 . .

I have a long time to go in a contract with a company that I want to stay with (good deal in all fairness) but they didnt have the Iphone back in May when I signed up . .

My old Iphone has seen better days and I just got it unlocked . . The button has been broken . .

Lets presume its a 3gs, what exactly would I be looking out on if I got the first 3g one instead of fixing my existing one ?

If you seen a 3GS on ebay for €70 it's safe to assume that it's probably a fake and I wouldn't touch it. If it seems too good to be true then it usually is.

The 3GS is still supported in the upcoming iOS 5... 3G isn't. 3G is very outdated now and wont support a lot of new apps and features.

Even the 3GS is missing a lot. A new iPhone should be released around September/October too which will make the 3G even more outdated once again.
