    saw a tractor for sale and the torc needs replacing what is it?

    Is it the hydraulic motor that drives the PTO?
    It's slang really, proper term would be PTO hyrdraulic motor.

    some thing to do with the transmission drive, as torque converter,

    i would have called the high /low splitter in the old 50 series the torque,
    but that could have been my own mis understanding

    to get it right the pto is gone

    What hours are on it?
    Have a good look at the oil in the back end too as the brake discs have probably disintegrated and feked up the 'torc' + hydraulic pump and anything else in the back end that oil flows through:eek::eek::eek:

    What does it cost to fix? How cheap is the tractor?

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    A second hand torque convertor (which is what I think you are describing) for a 6610se 01 is 700 euro (got from the scrappers in Longford),another 500 for labour,that was 3years ago.If it's the same thing that went in our tractor the tractor should drive with the 4wd but not in 2wd.

    i think its job for someone who with time and experience in repairing tractors, nice tractor though.
