Clubs for the taller man...

Well I'm not that tall, 6'2". But I'd like to get into golf and having practiced with my Dad's clubs a bit, I feel like the irons are too small for me, I have to uncomfortably bend over to use them.

Are there clubs made to suit someone like me and are they easily available or do you have to get custom made ones? I don't want to spend a fortune as I'm only starting into it, second hand clubs would do me but I dont see long iron sets online!

    Thanks.

At 6 2 u shouldn't really need that much extra never heard of more than a inch unless you have really short arms best thin to do would be to get a custom fit, it will cost 35 quid or so then but the clubs second hand on line it's not that hard to find them a bit longer. No real way of knowing what suits or if you need the lie changes until u get fitted.

its not just your height thats the factor, its the length of your arms or more specifically the length from your fingertips to the ground. im 6'2" and use standard length but with 1deg upright.
as mike12 says, best to get a custom fit. ping have a online app to give you an idea too :

McGuirks in Howth used to always stock a range of Irons 1" longer than standard. I assume they still do....

Cool, thanks lads, I'm a bit clueless when it comes to buying clubs, I never even knew you need to get 'fitted out' for them, but it seems that's what I need to do!

Unfortunately, that's golf - the proper stance is always a little bit uncomfortable, especially at first. Check out some images of Matt Kuchar or Keegan Bradley's stances, they are both pretty tall and almost bend at 90 degrees.
