O2 announced today that they're renewing their sponsorship of the Irish team until 2016. I'm pretty happy; I think they're a good sponsor who do a lot to engage with the fans (Be the Difference, etc.) and having worked there in the past, they genuinely do care about the team doing well. O2 announced today that they're renewing their sponsorship of the Irish team until 2016. I'm pretty happy; I think they're a good sponsor who do a lot to engage with the fans (Be the Difference, etc.) and having worked there in the past, they genuinely do care about the team doing well.

They're also hosting an open training session in the Aviva on the 25th of this month as part of the announcement. Full details:

Great news. I've heard that the deal is around 3 million a year while the old one was around 2 million a year.

If thats true great news for the IRFU managing to get an upgrade on their deal especially in the current economic situation.
