    Hi,

I dont know much about computers at all but I have a HP s3811uk Desktop and the fan is making loads of noise and Im thinking needs to be replaced. The Fan is a Foxconn PVA080g12Q DV12V Brushless Fan. I cant seem to find this particular fan that will send to Ireland anyway. Does anyone know of any other brand I can get?

    thanks

You probably need to get a heatsink and fan assembly to suit the processor socket type which in your case is socket LGA775. You should be able to pick one of these up for about €10/€15.
Dont attempt to fit yourself if not TOTALLY certain how to do it correctly as you can very easily cook the CPU!

Thanks a million - do you have any suggestions where to order one please?

Select "home" (at the top) then "processors" than "CPU coolers"
Second one down would suit you fine!

Fit it yourself, it's easy enough.

Oh, but *twist* the existing fan off. Don't yank it. Like me. :p

If the processor is stuck to the heatsink when you get it off... you've done it wrong. :D
